Sister and Brother
Publicity information
A picture book for preschoolers and younger school-age children. It is a ‘double-tale’ in which events, imagined by two children, unfold in two opposite directions with the opposite intention: in the sister’s dream all of her efforts are to reach the America of her dreams; the brother does his best to come home from this dream America. Both experience the same events, and yet each attributes a different meaningto them. The eternal longing to find ourselves ‘somewhere else’, somewhere we are currently not, is the driving force behind the imagination and the Münchhausenesque storyline in which every failure transforms into a new opportunity and yet the goal always remains out of reach.Source: liels and mazs
